UN Women launches three Calls for Proposals in support of women economic empowerment
UN Women has announced three Calls for Proposals in support of women economic empowerment, under the Support to Priority Actions for Gender Equality in Serbia Project. The European Union has earmarked EUR300,000 for grants supporting minimum of 10 projects to be implemented throughout Serbia. These projects are to contribute to the implementation of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality 2016-2018, in three programmatic areas: a) women at the labour market; b) women entrepreneurship and c) economic empowerment of rural women.
Only women CSOs and networks, professional associations and/or agriculture cooperatives that are legally registered in Serbia and have specialized knowledge, expertise and track record of working on gender equality and women economic empowerment are eligible to apply. Each successful applicant will be awarded a grant raging from EUR20,000 to EUR30,000. The proposals are expected to cover a period of minimum 1 year to maximum of 2 years.
Project Proposals should be submitted by 27 May 2018. More information on the Calls for Proposals and the requisite documents are available on UNDP website: http://www.rs.undp.org/content/serbia/en/home/operations/procurement.html
